TIM BERRY, Founder & CEO, Pennybacker Capital
Tim Berry provides overarching vision, directional leadership, and investment mandates for Pennybacker Capital. With over 14 years of real estate investing experience, Tim oversees client services, investor relations, as well as sourcing and negotiating investment opportunities. He is head of the firm’s Investment Committee.
An experienced entrepreneur, Tim previously co-founded the national real estate firm N3 Development. He selected and successfully led the N3 team that acquired and developed retail, land, office, and residential projects across 14 states. Subsequent to five years of consistent growth, Tim divested his N3 Development interests to form Pennybacker Capital.
Tim’s early career and professional training began as an investment banker at KPMG Corporate Finance. He later joined Qualcomm’s Strategic Investments Group and then worked as a restructuring advisor for Deloitte.
Tim holds dual MBAs from Columbia Business School and London Business School. He completed his undergraduate studies in Accounting at the University of Houston and earned a Master's degree in Professional Accounting from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Tim is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association, the Real Estate Council of Austin, the Real Estate Council of Dallas, Columbia Business School Real Estate Circle, Young Presidents' Organization, and the Executive Council of the Real Estate Finance and Investment Center at the University of Texas. Tim previously served on the Small Scale Development Council of the Urban Land Institute.
